Dear Sweet One,

You have come to me at this point in your transformation, your desire to be in relationship to the truest part of yourself. The one who has been seeking and yearning to befriend herself.

Maybe you have experienced your own grief. Grief has many faces. Childhood grief, death, divorce, questioning your life’s purpose. You are seeking support and an ally as you embark on the important work of your own transformation. You are ready and committed. You will make the time and prioritize knowing that where you put your energy is what will grow. You may be at the beginning of a new chapter. You have resources to commit to yourself.

I want you to know that I see you. I am you. And the reason I want to be of help at this tender and powerful juncture — the reason I created this program — is because I am now the person I wish I would have had to  (mentor, nurture, guide? or guide) 5-10-15 years ago. That’s what I’m offering you.

Where am I going with this?

What I want you to know, as I witness you in your worries, fears, joys, and passions, your emptiness and your fullness, is this. You are clear light and when you taste this truth in you, it will shift your life forever.

I am the first to acknowledge and validate our stories, my stories. This is who I have been for my entire life — a storyteller — and the stories, memories, experiences that made me who I am have been grist for the mill.

I know you. I am you. And you are also unique. You are here for a reason, considering what might be available to offer — because here is the thing. Life doesn’t happen to you. It happens for you. For you at every step of the way, but it’s important to listen carefully to what is being communicated.

The universe, God, whatever you want to call it has been tapping you on the shoulder over and over to discover that an amazing, undivided, vast life is available to you at every moment. Your north star has been in the sky all along, but you were facing a different direction.

I’m inviting you, sweet soul, to take full ownership of your precious life. And it is precious.

It took a beloved person to die tragically in my life for me to drop the mask, to ask what it was that life wanted me to create while I’m here. Liberation, my friend, is for the living.

So, as I pen this love letter to you, know that it comes from the deepest part of my soul’s knowing — the soul beyond memoires, stories and experiences.

I will not lie or pad the truth. Change, transformation, does not happen without devotion, consistency, attention, intention, elevation.

I’m asking you to commit to you. For six months, I will guide you through healing modalities including daily kundalini yoga sessions, 1-1 meetings every two weeks, practices in creative process to facilitate a type of self inquiry that will help you to untangle the parts of you that have been stuck.

I have learned that not talk therapy, no relationship, no escape through exercise, alcohol, ...fill in the blank for your escape here...fills or changes me. But it has happened through investing time to learn and incorporate techniques and practices that bring me to myself on a daily basis in the truest and most powerful way.

You will have to give up certain habits, but you will be creating new and more generative ones. I promise. What begins as a discipline becomes a passion and way of being that feels like a refuge, a best friend. You will become your own best friend. This I know.

One might say it’s selfish to invest so much energy in oneself, but by doing so, you will magnetize the life you seek, the love you seek, the energy you seek. It is waiting for you and has been since you forest felt this tug of longing.

So what do I see in you? Love, fear, hope, longing, hurt, desire, expectation, power, agency, sovereignty, light, beauty, intellect, vitality, discipline, devotion.

I am standing here watching this version of you, feet at the edge of a beautiful wve, feeling teh wet sand beneath you. You are founded and vast with a gaze toward the horizon that promises so much. It is here for you and is as simple as your next breath my sweet sister.

You are the archetype of Green Tara, whose outstretched foot is ready to take action and own her life. You are a bodhisattva. She represents purity and power. She is asking to be liberated from the misery of mental delusions and negative emotions that blind us to true freedom. She describes enlightened activity and abundance and this is what I wish for you. Abundance in all of it’s forms.

This program is the answer to the longing for yourself. I feel that my ancestors, those I love who have passed, gods and angels are guiding me — and I was not one to believe in their existence for the longest time — so to write these words is powerful and true. I do believe I have been divinely guided to help you. They have invited me, over and over, to step forward into the role of being a spiritual mentor.

I will witness you ith my eyes, my camera, my heart at the beginning and at the end of six months.

You will see the shift in energy and recognize your own vastness and I will capture that in a shoot at the end of six months and transform it into a beautiful fine art piece, reminding you that your life is art, that your creative expression IS your life and how you choose to live it in the highest accordance with the truth of who you are, my beautiful friend.

And so it is.

I know what it’s like to feel an ache that you can’t completely heal. I know what’s it’s like to go to therapy and continue talking through your stories, only to come back to the same one, feeling as if you haven’t really made that much progress and you ask yourself why you feel the same way, you have the same challenges, though you’re older, and they look different. I know what it’s like to want to feel more authentic joy and to want true alignment with your soul.

Believe it or not, I have been there before. And it wasn’t that long ago. Just three years ago my life looked great on the outside. The nice boyfriend, the trips, the pretty house, healthy kids,  an ex husband who was a great dad and a good friend. And yet, I felt at odds. This wasn’t an unfamiliar feeling. In fact, I felt an ache my whole life and it took my children’s father and my dear friend to pass away unexpectedly for me to stop and listen. I mean really listen. When I listened, the universe spoke.

Here’s what she said. I feel your pain. And as life, I am here for you. I’ve been waiting for you to turn your gaze toward me. I’ve been your north star all along, but you kept looking in a different direction.

I have no magic cure because that implies that transformation doesn’t require hard work. But here’s the thing, you change your perspective and what felt like hard work, feels like love. Love for yourself. Love for those in your life. Love for life.

I can’t expect to know the reasons that you have landed here with me. I can’t wait to hear your story, to witness and guide you, to give you a place to take a deep breath, to practice self care. You deserve it. So did I many years ago, but I never gave it to myself, believing such self care was an indulgence, selfish.

I am here to help you do some of the hard work...to commit to change, to your own transformation and vitality, your emotional, physical and spiritual health,

My sweet one, whatever has drawn you here at this time, trust your intuition. You are in the right place and I am here to listen, reflect, and witness all of the experiences, joys and heartbreaks that have gotten you to this place right now.

Here’s my love story, the reason I am here now, creating this program for you. I lost someone so dear to me nearly three years ago. He was taken suddenly, doing what he loved best, riding his bike in the cool, early morning with a bunch of friends. He was my spiritual husband, though we were no longer married, but we made two amazing children together. Our souls met long before we did and the connection has changed.

His death really was the dark night of the soul for me. Both the grief of losing him — my childrens’ father, my beloved in so many ways — and the joy of realizing how much love there was, which is recognized in the depth of grief — changed me forever.

I was a storyteller — art director, graphic designer, photographer — and studied journalism in college. I was telling other people’s stories my whole life. When he died so tragically, I realized I also had an important story to tell and allowed myself the practices and offerings which I have now turned into a program. For you. For anyone who has experienced love, loss, uncertainty, joy — this whole buffet that life is.

From a young age, I felt an intense spiritual longing which took me initially to astanga yoga at the age of 29. It’s a very strong and physical practice and I needed that form at that time.

By committing deeply to my kundalini practice and teaching, using writing not only as catharsis but as a creative outlet to connect the squiggly lines of my life, using painting and drawing to use my understanding of perspective in other ways, I experienced a visceral and freeing quality to this thing we call life. All of these ways of seeing — kundalini yoga, writing, photography, figurative drawing and painting — offered a very real alignment to truth.

This is what I want for you. Once you have experienced the truth and depth of your very unique and beautiful self  — both the places where you are wise and your blindspots — you will have a better understanding of what it means to be in a committed relationship with your future.

As Billie Eilish says in her great song, “My Future”,

I've changed my plans

'Cause I, I'm in love

With my future

Can't wait to meet her

And I, I'm in love

But not with anybody else

Just wanna get to know myself

I know supposedly I'm lonely now (lonely now)

Know I'm supposed to be unhappy

Without someone (someone)

But aren't I someone? (Aren't I someone? Yeah)

Thank you, beautiful soul, for your attention, your vulnerability, your fierce heart and your willingness to lean into something unknown and go on this journey with me. I can’t wait to see what unfolds for your life. I see your radiance and your inner light and look forward to reflecting it right back to you. Thank you. Thank you. And so it is.

I have been a visual storyteller for more than 25 years as an art director, graphic designer and photographer. When you are with me, YOUR story is the most important one! You communicate through a telling expression, a hand gesture, or the laugh lines that make you who you are. When I have a camera in my hand, I'm in my zone. I hope to bring you into your own unique flow as I capture your inner and outer beauty.

Do this for you mothers, your daughters, and yourself.  What’s the one thing that makes you YOU? Work with me to capture that. My goal is to offer an entire experience from the first phone call to delivery that is based on listening, treating you with gratitude and respect and providing the most beautiful images you will ever see of yourself and/or your loved ones.

Why women's portraiture? All human beings at their core want to be seen for the beauty that they are, from the inside out. I know because that is me, too. My passion behind the camera is fueled by my inherent visual sensibilities and curiosity about how interconnected we are as human beings. The truth, though, that fuels it all is the female struggle with not being "enough". The healing starts with me and you.

I look forward to SEEING you!
